The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Becky Ryberg as principal of Rayburn Intermediate School at their board meeting on Monday, April 15.
With close to 20 years in public education, Ryberg has served as the principal of Fannin Elementary School since 2016. Prior to that, she served as an assistant principal at Milam Elementary School and as a master teacher at Crockett Elementary School.
“I am encouraged by all the amazing opportunities open to our students in Bryan ISD,” Ryberg said. “My goal for the students, staff, and community members of Rayburn is to motivate and challenge all people serving the campus to move together towards academic and emotional success. I look forward to great things happening in future years.”
Superintendent Dr. Christie Whitbeck is excited for the impact Ryberg will have at Rayburn Intermediate School.
“Becky Ryberg is a very strong leader, with a long history of success in Bryan ISD,” Whitbeck said. “Becky excels at increasing success for students by building community around the campus through strong partnerships with teachers, parents and local faith-based and non-profit organizations. ”
